Aurora Sewing Center is looking for a mechanically inclined individual to join our Service Department. You don't need sewing machine repair experience—we'll teach you. If you have experience working with tools, repairing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems, or simply enjoy fixing things, we'd love to meet you.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in a specialized trade with one-on-one mentoring and manufacturer training.
 
What You'll Enjoy:

What You'll Do:
As a Service Technician, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain, and test sewing and embroidery machines.
 
Every day is different. You'll work with:
  • Precision mechanical components.
  • Small electric motors.
  • Gears and drive systems.
  • Timing mechanisms.
  • Electronic controls.
  • Circuit boards.
  • Computerized machines.
 
You'll use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and your problem-solving skills to return machines to like-new operating condition.

You do NOT need sewing machine experience.

What You'll Need:
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read service information and follow procedures.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
 
Previous repair experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
